The 1846 Hogwarts Reforms were a series of changes made to the structure and operations of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. These reforms happened when Hogwarts ceased to be a privately controlled and funded entity, and came under the regulation of the British Ministry of Magic.
The most notable of these reforms was the disbanding of the Wizarding Foundation, and the creation of the Head of Governments. Other reforms included the abolishment of several positions, such as Keeper of Keys and Potions Teacher, and the creation of new ones, such as Caretaker and Potions Master.
