The International Wizarding Competition of Magical Skills is a modern tournament modeled after the Triwizard Tournament. The first took place in California in 2010, and has been a yearly tradition ever since. Only three schools have participated so far: the Salem Witches' Institute of Sorcery in the U.S.A., the Brazilian wizarding school in Brazil and the Mahōtokoro School of Magic in Japan. It is organized by the participating nations' Department of Magical Games and Sports, which have been trying to involve also the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Durmstrang Institute, and any of the other five institutes of magic, albeit unsuccessfully as of yet.
