The First Minister of Magic of the United States and the Chairman of the European Wizard Dueling Committee founded the Minks Cup in 1783. The Championship is a four and half day event consisting of singles, doubles and alternate switch matches that are worth 3 points apiece. The United States has hosted the event every time in Memphis Dueling Grounds in Memphis, Tennessee. The Cup is named after Peter Minks a legendary duelist. The Champions are decided after one team wins 14 1/2 points. Every year the call to the Cup is sent out and players begin to qualify for it the following year. The Cup is played every other year.
